You can send events over plain TCP/UDP. For TCP, use line-breaks to separate between events. For UDP, each packet is considered an event.

The events should be sent to [your-subdomain] over the following ports:

  • NOTE: if sending over TLS, your client must support SNI

While this approach allows for a great degree of freedom, it often requires more manual configuration to split the source to applications and services. If possible, you should prefer sending data over Syslog.
