Event management tools can only be as good as the quality of the ingested alerts. These tools do not alert on their own, and cannot influence what data an alert includes, which limits their capability to do smart aggregation, correlation and root-cause analysis.
Loom takes advantages of having access to the very raw data, to be able to keep whatever context is relevant in order to be able to be smarter when reducing the alerts.
Furthermore, Loom can use the users' feedback (e.g. dismissing vs. handling of an alert) as feedback not only to its prioritization-algorithm, but also into the detection engine, so that the detection itself can constantly improve as well.
