Data Encryption

Loom-Systems recommends the following for data encryption:

Data at Rest

While data is at rest, Filesystem-level encryption should be used.

While data is at rest, Filesystem-level encryption should be used.

  • Users can use the default Filesystem of their operating system.

For example:
A Linux user could use dm-crypt, a transparent disk encryption, as a proper solution for encrypting the data at rest.

Data in Transit

Users are advised to use Transfer Layer Security (TLS) protocol while shipping data into Sophie.
